EO Server Setup Guide Update

After having pretty much the same guide for more then a year, I decided to remove some unneeded parts, and provide some extra information for some steps.

I strongly suggest, that when you are going to recompile your server, you use the updated files, provided in the guide.

Your trunk folder will look a lot cleaner now, and still achieve the same result.

Hey,

finally a new subject to post about. I don’t very often start playing new games, but this vacation was an exception. Some of my friends play League of Legends, a game based on, DotA, a Warcraft 3 custom map.

The DotA concept is exceptionally good, having two complete games derived from it, and thousands of players.

I won’t go into detail here, but their trailer will surely clear things up.

Endless Offline Again

For a few weeks now, people haven’t been able to go any further than the character selection screen.

Its disappointing that once more there has been no word from Vult-r. Because deep inside we all know Endless Online could have been a great game ;)

Printer out of control

Is this your first time? Or does it happen to you all the time…

I’m talking of course about those annoying moments the printer just does not want to listen.
Yesterday I found a new solution to this problem.

First you need to know what program you used to print “it”. Lets assume you were using openoffice (or microsoft office).
First start openoffice if it isn’t already.
Make sure your printer is ON.
Third go to start->execute->services.msc
You’ll get a list with “services”. Somewhere in the list you will find Print Spooler.
Now restart shutdown Print Spooler, shutdown openoffice and your printer.
After you’ve done that your printer is fine again. First start Print Spooler then your printer or openoffice.

no-name professionalisering

Eyey,

al het einde van 2009 en zeker nu in 2010 gaat team no-name alles op alles zetten om de max te halen uit no-name.
no-name is nu al de grootste en beste Nederlandse private server met op het moment drie realms, waarvan 2 publieke test servers. De ontwikkeling van no-name gaat flink wat hoger tempo dan voorheen. Ook door de quest GM’s gaat de spelers ervaring flink vooruit.
Enkele punten waar no-name nu aan werkt zijn:
Een eigen no-name addon installer zodat het makkelijker wordt voor spelers op 3.2.2a om hun addons van het internet te halen en te installeren.
Het toevoegen en fixen van boss scripts.
Up to date blijven en niet te ver achter lopen op blizz patches.
En een nog hogere uptime door bugs op te sporen die crashes kunnen veroorzaken.

Zeker weten dus de beste private server op het moment.
